November 2020
We normally go carol singing at the Grand Hotel to celebrate their Christmas Lights Switch On Event & launch their Rocking Horse Charity Appeal. This year, they asked us to provide a virtual choir, so we filmed our Christmas songs in school as a "Pop-Up Choir", sent the footage to The Grand Hotel & they used it in all their Christmas promotions!!
The Grand Hotel asked us to sing the same song using 2 different choirs so they could edit the footage & combine our singing.

We are celebrating Christmas at Westdene in a different way this year - we can't sing inside, so we took our singing outside and filmed each class performing in our amphitheatre!
Below are video presentations of our Virtual Christmas celebrations, years 1 & 2 are in one concert and years 3-6 in separate performances with each video showing which classes are performing. We have also included short photo presentations featuring each class.
An enormous thank you to families for your brilliant support helping children learn their songs at home, we so appreciate this.
